Exhibition & Congress history of more than 40 years

1993

The limited liability company EXPOSYSTEM is founded in Thessaloniki, as an evolution of the joint venture company Evangelos Galatsopoulos & Co., which had already, since 1983, stood out in the exhibition market as a contractor of the standard exhibition structures, the largest national exhibition organizations in Greece, the TIF – HELEXPO

1998

INTEREXPO S.A. is founded, as a subsidiary company of TIF – HELEXPO. EXPOSYSTEM develops its activities alongside the exhibition organizers and raises its share capital.

2000

EXPOSYSTEM is upgrading its position in the Athens exhibition market: Signs partnership agreement with the Mediterranean Trade International Exhibitions, MEDE S.A. at MEC – Mediterranean Exhibition Centre – in Paiana and undertakes the support of all exhibitions organized at the Exhibition & Conference Centre of Attica of HELEXPO and the implementation of large exhibitions in other exhibition centers, such as the Touristic Panorama and the International Car and Motorcycle Exhibition.

2003

EXPOWORK S.A. is founded, as a technical and construction company of the new ExpoAthens exhibition centre in Anthousa Attica. EXPOSYSTEM is the main shareholder of EXPOWORK, owning 50% of the company and also holding managing responsibilities. The EXPOSYSTEM offices in Athens begin to operate. The sales, design, accounting, implementation and warehouse departments in Athens, are housed in a covered area of 1,200 sq.m.

2004

According to the International Standard ISO 9001:2000, the new Quality Management system, is implemented. A large investment program is launching with the procurement of a land plot of 6,000 sq.m. in the Industrial Area of Thessaloniki. The EXPOLIGHT Ltd is founded, as a technical company of electrical installations. EXPOSYSTEM is its main shareholder, having also the management of the company.

2005

HELEXPRO S.A. is established in Thessaloniki, as a subsidiary of HELEXPO. Both in Greece and abroad EXPOSYSTEM participates in its share capital and develops activities alongside the exhibition organization.

2008

The increase in shareholding in EXPOWORK is extended to 67%. The facilities in Thessaloniki are expanding, in a new privately owned building covering 3,500 sq.m with a useful space of 5,000 sq.m.

2009

EXPOWORK undertakes the management of the new Athens Metropolitan Expo exhibition centre at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport in Athens.

2009

EXPOSYSTEM created a group of companies in which EXPOWORK and EXPOLIGHT participate and established strategic partnerships in order to cover all the specialized needs of organising exhibitions and events, as well as, participating in them. Its subsidiaries are based in Athens and are respectively involved in supporting organizers of exhibitions and conferences, and the installation of electrical infrastructure for all scale events.

EXPOWORK was founded in 2003. Today its share capital is fully owned by Exposystem. According to the international standards of management exhibition centres, it is the official house contractor of the most modern exhibition centre, Athens Metropolitan Expo. It is a leading force in the field of technical support for exhibitions and conference events; with a team of highly trained executives it is launching a flexible and well-organized model of providing technical services to organizers & exhibitors. The headquarters are located in Athens Metropolitan Expo, at Athens International Airport “El. Venizelos”, in Spata Attica. For the last years, it supports technically the organization of major events, such as Marathons, Car Races, etc.

EXPOLIGHT was founded in 2004. It exclusively specialises in electrical installations, as well as, renting electrical equipment for exhibitions and conference events in Greece and abroad. It has the experienced staff and the required equipment to implement large and demanding projects, even simultaneously, both in Greece and abroad. The headquarters are located at Anthousis & Samou 1 Avenue, Anthousa – Attica.

The centre of EXPOSYSTEM’s activities is located in the Industrial Area of Thessaloniki, in Sindos. There are four privately owned buildings with a total built-up area of 10,000 sq.m. These buildings house the Administration, Production Department, Warehouses of Rough Materials and Exhibition Equipment, Graphic Applications Department, as well as, the Accounting Office. At the same time, the company maintains a branch in Athens, at Anthousa Attica, in a renovated and properly designed building of 1,200 sq.m. housing the Sales, Planning and Implementation Departments, as well as, Accounting Office and Warehouse.

EXPOSYSTEM maintains integrated Service Departments for exhibitors and organizers with organized Order Receiving and Order Implementation Workgroups, with highly qualified administrative and technical staff respectively.

EXPOSYSTEM is certified for the construction of exhibition spaces by ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14000.
